Carly “Buggy” Alcala, age 17, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from injuries sustained in a car crash.
Carly, or Buggy, as she was known by her family and friends, was a typical girly-girl teenager. She loved making TikTok videos, sharing her life on Facebook, being on her cell phone, doing her makeup, shoe shopping, eating Takis and sour cream, being outdoors and going for walks. Even though Buggy wasn’t here on earth very long, the impact she had on her family and friends will be felt for generations.
Surviving Buggy are her parents, Tomas and Lisa (Skiver) Alcala of Greenville; siblings, Sebastian (Brooke) Heintz of Belding, Tabitha Heintz (Nick Case) of Greenville, Mackenzie Alcala (Tiffany Bennett) of Greenville, Tomas Alcala III (Daylyn King) of Greenville, Danny Alcala of Stanton, Mathew Shelest (Sara Fulger) of Sheridan, Dakota Ottgen of Saranac, Shane (Hayley) Brooks of Gowen; grandparents, Pam Skiver of Belding, Marlene and Rick Butler of Orleans, Tom and Emily Alcala of Ionia; many aunts and uncles; and lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Buggy was preceded in death by her grandpa, Ken Skiver and aunt, Lori Bannen.
Buggy’s life is being celebrated on Sunday, October 24th from 2-4 PM at the Tower Riverside Park in Greenville (210 N. Franklin St.), where you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.
