Carl “Bufford” Erickson, Jr., age 68, of Bad Axe, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Cass City.
Carl, or Bufford as he was known by his family and friends, was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an avid collector of football memorabilia, a big University of Michigan fan – “Go Blue”, and a guy who loved his yard and all the ornaments in it. Bufford loved going to yard sales, always looking for a great deal and was eager to negotiate on everything he bought.
Surviving Bufford is his significant other, Theresa Reiber of Bad Axe; daughter, Melissa Erickson (Steve Bursach) of Greenville; son, Carl Erickson III of Bad Axe; grandchildren, Mercedes (Jesse) Packard of Coral; Martin Aguirre Jr. of Stanton; great granddaughters, Charlotte Packard and Madisynn Aguirre; and his lifelong best friend, Jim Armstead of Bad Axe.
Bufford was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. & Genevieve (Lepard) Erickson.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
