Brandy Barna

Brandy L. Barna, age 40 of Ionia, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Metron of Greenville.

Brandy was the type of person who could make you laugh with her quick wit, great sense of humor and her love of “all things fun”. She was very artistic and loved to brighten the world with color. She was a good cook and was especially known for her lasagna. Brandy loved her dog, Bear; but most of all Brandy loved her family. She loved going to her son’s sporting events, taking them to the beach and just spending time with them. Brandy will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Surviving Brandy is her mom, Gay Starkweather of Ionia; her husband, Troy Barna of Ionia; sons, Noah Barna and Parker Barna both of Ionia; daughter, Mackenzie Barna of Saranac; sister, Krista (Dallas) Eavey of Ionia and her brother, David Starkweather of California.

Brandy was preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa Starkweather and Renee Starkweather and her maternal grandparents, Earl & Hope Hoag.

A celebration of Brandy’s life is being planned for a later date.
