Robert R. Berzley, age 83, of Stanton, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1956 and was extremely proud of his military service and was a long-time member of the American Legions in Stanton and Greenville. Bob loved to hunt when he was still able, watch westerns, war movies, collecting stamps and currency and he was very interested in researching his ancestry. Bob loved anything to do with Christmas but especially loved music and singing along to his favorite songs. Bob was a retired radio announcer, which was another one of his passions.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela Berzley of Stanton; daughters, Cari (Justin) of Stanton, Melani (Randy) of Stanton; son, Todd Berzley of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Amsden, Kirstin, Jordan, Alex, Scott, Mathew, Kelsey, Cody and a brother Jack Berzley of Belton, Texas, along with many other extended family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Ora “Bob” Berzley and mother, Elsie Kyle; infant daughter, Cristi Michelle; sister, Barbara and his stepfather John “Jack” J. Kyle.
A celebration of Bob’s life is being planned for Thursday August 12, 2021, at the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post in Greenville (1320 W. Washington St.) beginning at 2pm.
