Ben Waldron

4/13/1964 – 12/28/2014
Benjamin R. Waldron, age 50 of rural Sidney passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home. He was born on April 13, 1964, the son of Roger & Linda (Drake) Waldron.
Ben is survived by his parents, Roger & Linda Waldron of Stanton, two sons, Gregory Waldron of Grand Rapids, Matthew Waldron of Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter, Kira Bailey-Waldron of Lowell, three sisters, Teresa Waldron of Spring Lake, Michelle & Tom Hocking of Stanton, Caroline & Edward Doyle of Stanton, a brother, Alan Waldron of Grand Rapids, plus aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents and also a son, Curtis Waldron in 1985.
Ben has been a longtime resident of the Stanton and Sidney areas and was a very active member of the Sheridan Fire Department. He loved racing and could be found at Crystal Raceway every weekend.
A celebration of life beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the VFW Post 5065 in Sheridan with Rev. Phil VanDop officiating. Friends and relatives will be invited to share remembrances followed by a luncheon. Interment will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.
Visitation will be at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers and for those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the Sheridan Fire Department; there will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
