Barbara "Barb" Rench (Ruthruff)

Barbara Rench, age 86, of Stanton, passed away at her home on Monday, November 1, 2021, under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Hospice.

Barb has been a resident of Stanton for the past 25 years, formerly of Portland. She loved to work on her crossword puzzles, listen to old country music, and watch game shows. When she was younger, Barb also enjoyed going camping and fishing. One thing Barb was known for was she was always re-arranging her furniture as she loved to change things up. However, the one thing Barb enjoyed the most was spending time with her family, and she will be deeply missed by everyone.

Surviving Barb are her daughters, Linda Rench of Hastings, Lucinda (Bob) Endsley of Portland, Marsha Phelps of Longbranch, Washington, Lisa Wilson of Ionia, Michelle Benedict of Brighton; sons, Steve (Joyce) Rutherford of Kalamazoo, Ken (Becky) Rutherford of Stanton, Rick Rutherford of Stanton; 32 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; sister, Janet Brown of Bedford; brothers, Allen Ruthruff of Delton, Harlan (Brenda) Ruthruff of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Russ (Carol) Ruthruff of Lowell.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Mildred (French) Ruthruff; husband, Aldon Rench; son, Jimmy; and several brothers and sisters.

Barb’s life is being celebrated on Friday, November 5th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon with Pastor Phil Vandop officiating. Graveside services will be at the Crystal Cemetery immediately after the funeral.
