Arthur R. Mikesell, age 80, of Alamo, Texas, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
Arthur was called to serve in the evangelism and church planting ministry and worked with the Central American Mission, now called Avant Ministries, throughout his career. During that time, he served in Guatemala and all the Central American countries for 18 years and Mexico for 35 years.
Surviving Arthur is his wife Marita Mikesell; daughters, Deborah (Joe) Meng of Georgia; MeLinda (Dan) Nelson of both Minnesota and Mexico; Cynthia (Randy) Waldrop of Oklahoma; Felicia (Larry) Harvey of North Carolina; brothers, Daniel (Donna) Mikesell of Michigan; Philip (Ruth) Mikesell of Virginia; brothers-in-law, L.J. (Donna Mae) Main of Michigan; Charles Main of Michigan; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Marian & Aristine (Higbie) Mikesell; son, Jonathan Mikesell and sister-in-law, Loretta Main.
Visitation is being held on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 2 to 6 PM and on Saturday, September 12th from 10 – 11 AM at the Nevins Lake Church pavilion (837 S. Nevins Road, Stanton, Michigan).
Funeral services for Arthur will be on Saturday, September 12, 2020 beginning at 11 AM at the Nevins Lake Church pavilion with Reverend Dr. Elwood Chipchase and Reverend Dennis Ross officiating.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and restrictions in place by Governor Whitmer’s numerous Executive Orders, both the visitation and funeral services will be held outdoors under the pavilion at Nevins Lake Church.
Graveside services for Arthur will be held at McBride Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
