Anne Laing, age 74, of Stanton, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Spectrum Health Blodgett in Grand Rapids.
Angie, as she was known by her family and friends, loved nature and all the beauty it provided. She liked being outdoors, going hunting and fishing, watching the birds, being on the water, and she especially loved her animals. Angie enjoyed her trips to the casino to try out her luck and often expressed herself through her poems.
Surviving Angie is her daughter, Barbara (Jeff) Borton of Lansing; sons, Christopher (Kristine Myers) Docking of Howard City; Jerry (Jill) Docking of North Carolina; sisters, Donna Tutor of Stanton; Joan (David) Gardner of Stanton; JoAnn Wood of Stanton; brothers, Rick (Diane) Kimball of Sidney; Robert (Gail) Kimball of DeWitt; James Wood of Stanton; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Barbara (Brady) & Bruce Corr; father and stepmother, Richard & Merna Kimball; husband, Gerald Laing.
Angie’s life is being celebrated on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM with Pastor Bernard Loew officiating.
Angie will be laid to rest in Wacousta Cemetery in Wacousta.
