Anna Rose Adams, age 95 of Stanton passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Laura’s Loving Acres near Stanton. She was born on April 9, 1918 in Sheridan, the daughter of Carl & Estella (Haysmer) Lund.
On April 10, 1937, Anna was married to Raymond Adams and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1994. Also preceding her was a great granddaughter, Sarah Joy Welch, four brothers, Claud, Earl, Donald and Leland Lund, a sister in law, Viola Lund and a sister and her husband, Beatrice & Don Ralph.
Surviving are her five children, Ellen & Jim Roc
kafellow of Fenwick, Carolyn Detwiler of Holt, Gary & Brenda Adams of Stanton, Dennis & Renee Adams of Stanton, and Tom & Janet Adams of Lapeer, 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law, Doris Lund, Elaine Lund, Bettie Lund, all of Sheridan and Dorothy Emelander of Saranac plus several nieces and nephews.
In 1945, Anna and Raymond purchased a dairy farm north of Stanton where they raised their family and where Anna made her home until moving to Laura’s Loving Acres in 2012. She loved spending time with her family and was a great mother.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan.
Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the Ionia Area Hospice. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
