Albert Rose

Albert C. Rose, age 89 of Stanton passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Hospice House of Mid Michigan in Lansing. He was born on February 23, 1924 in Lansing, the son of Dewey & Leila (Graham) Rose.
On December 15, 1947, Albert was married to the former Beverly A. Spear and she preceded him in death in 2005. Also preceding him was a son, Dana Rose in 2001 plus seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his children, Georgia & Ronald Gellner of Swartz Creek, Paula & Otis Kortz of South Boardman, Rhonda Hart of St. Johns and Timothy Rose of Holt, 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a special caregiver & friend, Candy Minnick of Stanton, one sister, Linda & Cliff Kivinen of Minnesota and a brother, Harold Rose of Coldwater.
Albert has been a longtime resident of the Stanton area. He enjoyed playing golf, a good meal and spending time with his family, who will miss him very much.
Funeral services for Albert will be on Thursday, September 5, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, with Pastor Bruce VanDussen officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service.
