Obituary

Sandra J. Luther, age 61 of Sidney, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.

Sandy was a woman who enjoyed giving and helping others. One of her hobbies was making jewelry which she would give to family and friends. She also liked crocheting, painting, and capturing the beauty all around us through landscape and nature photography. However of everything she did, Sandy’s favorite thing was spending time with her grandkids and spoiling them every chance she got.

Surviving Sandy is her husband, Marty Luther; daughters, Melissa (Patrick) Taylor of Cedar Lake; Tracy Luther of Catonsville, Maryland; grandchildren, Cole; Anthony; Thomas and Breanna; sisters, Carolyn (Ron) Cogswell of Six Lakes; Charlene Newhall of Carson City; Janet Michaelson of Carson City; brother, David (Susan) Hoose of Turk Lake and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Jack.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Hoose and her mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Wayne Corl.

Private family graveside services will be held at Sidney Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is being held on Sunday - July 14th starting at 4:30 at the Sidney Township Park.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Sandy’s memory, the family suggests you direct them to the “Kickin’ Cancer” organization and those donations may be sent to 7159 Lazy Lane, Lakeview, MI 48850.
