Robert L. Keeler, age 76 of Stanton, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.

There are several truths about Bob Keeler. First, he was a hard worker. As a lifelong dairy farmer, Bob had a tremendous work ethic, the ability to fix almost anything and a love for the land. Second, Bob loved hunting and fishing. He liked going to Canada fishing and traveled all over the world hunting. Each trip was special not only for the game he was hunting or fishing for, but for the memories made, and friendships created. Third, Bob loved his country and proudly served in the Army National Guards. Finally, and most importantly to Bob was his love of family. Bob loved spending time with everyone, especially his grandkids. He loved hearing all the details of their hunts and adventures. Bob will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Surviving Bob is his wife of 54 years, Judy Keeler; daughter Kelly (Arlen) Clevenger of Stanton; son, Kevin (Jill) Keeler of Stanton; grandchildren Mari Clevenger; Jace Vining; Collin Galbraith; Keaton Keeler all of Stanton; sisters, Barb Surline of Port Huron; Gloria Davis of Port Huron; Debbie (Jim) Johnson of Holt; brothers Vernon (Karen) Keeler of Stanton; Roger Keeler of Lansing; Orval (Sandy) Keeler of Stanton; Tommy Keeler of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Orval & Maxine (Wilson) Keeler; sisters, Lena Brigham and Iris Weeks; brother, Randy Keeler; brothers-in-law, Raymond Surline and Ron Davis.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Executive Order signed by Governor Whitmer a private family only graveside services will take place at McBride Cemetery with a public memorial service celebrating Bob’s life being held at a later date.

Judy, Kevin and Kelly,
I was so sorry to read of Bob's passing. Al and I didn't know him, but Judy, I've known you practically forever and Kevin and Kelly, I think in same grade as a couple of our kids. It's a tough adjustment, but when you're having a hard day, just try and think of some of those special happy times and special moments. Thinking of you with my sincere sympathy, Margaret Rush
