Maxine K. Shurlow, age 77, of Edmore, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Mission Point of Greenville.
If you were to ask Maxine what her favorite thing was her answer would be quick and decisive – her family. Maxine loved spending time with them and taking care of them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy; and she never missed a chance to cheer them on. When you went to her house you didn’t leave hungry as she was a great baker and cook. Her family loved her macaroni salad and her pies were the best; especially her apple pie. Maxine was also very kind and generous with her friends and she will be missed by everyone.
Surviving Maxine is her son, Tom (Yunxi) Shurlow of Edmore; grandchildren, Benton Shurlow of Lake Isabella and Tabitha (Mike) VanderMeulen of Rockford. Great grandchildren, Alexis; Mersadie; Michelle; Landin; and Kollin. Sister, Susie Burggren of Edmore. Maxine is also survived by her beloved dog, Kobe.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Ardith (Fouts) Miller; brother, David Miller; brother-in-law, Joe Burggren; and her soulmate, David Crowley.
