James M. Carter, age 49, of Perrinton, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, February 6, 2021.
James wasn’t just a truck driver; he was a trucker. He loved being on the road and seeing the different parts of the country he traveled too. When he wasn’t on the road, James loved going camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a master in the kitchen and loved to bake and cook; his apple crisp and spinach lasagna were some of his family’s favorites. James was also an ordained minister. However, what James loved the most on earth was his family, especially his children and grandchildren. James will forever be remembered by those who loved him and deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving James is his dad and stepmom, Bob & Marsha Carter; fiancé, Shannon Wetzel; daughters, Sierra; Gabrielle; Jasmine (Richard); Della; sons, Travis (Adrianne) and Trinity (Annalise); 8 grandchildren with 3 soon to be born grandchildren; many sisters and brothers; lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his son, Justin Carter; mom, Rosemary Patterson; and grandparents, Bud & Juanita Carter.
A celebration of James’s life is being held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main Street). Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
For those wanting to help the family as they deal with the sudden and unexpected death of James, memorial donations may be made directly to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home on Saturday.
