Obituary

Deborah K. Maxson-Oligney, age 51 of Stanton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home as the result of an undiagnosed medical condition.

Deb was a person who loved being around people. She liked to take care of others, make people laugh, and she did whatever she could to make sure you were happy. Deb also appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and liked going fishing, with ice fishing being her favorite. However, Deb’s greatest passion in life was that of her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored and loved.

Surviving Deb is her father and step-mom, Devere & Gayle Marvin of Grand Rapids; husband, Michael Maxson of Stanton; sons, Warren (Sarah) Oligney of Greenville; Joshua (Miranda) Oligney of Greenville; grandsons, Owen, Eli, Keegan and Korbin; sister, Dianna DeVreugd of Kent City; brother, Duane (Shelly) Marvin of Cedar Springs and lots of great friends.

Deb was preceded in death by her mother, Doris (Sherwood) Marvin.

Visitation and funeral services for Deb are being held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street). Visitation will be from 11 AM until 2 PM with funeral services beginning at 2 PM.
