Charles W. Geldersma, age 76, of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Sparrow Carson Hospital in Carson City.

If it had a motor, went fast, or could crush things, Charles was all about it. He loved watching the races at Crystal Motor Speedway, going to the mud bogs, and seeing the monster truck shows when they came to the area. He was also very handy when it came to building things and the picnic tables, bird houses, and chairs he built are things his family will treasure even more. Another thing Charles absolutely loved to do was go hunting and fishing with his brother, Russ and when he was younger, he liked going bowling too. Charles proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.

Surviving Charles is his daughter, Sheri (Rod) Hemmingsen of Sheridan; sons, Dan, Sr. (Brenda) Fullerton of Lake Odessa; Robert Fullerton of Ionia; grandchildren, Nichole Hemmingsen of Carson City; Rodney Hemmingsen of Fenwick; Stacy (Everitt) Fullerton of Lake Odessa; Danny Fullerton, Jr. of Ionia; great grandchildren, Alexis Anderson; Zackery Hemmingsen; Tyler, Taylor, Linda, Tiffany and Emily Fullerton and his brother, Russel (Stephanie) Geldersma of Clarksville.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William & Lois (York) Geldersma; wife, Donnis; and sisters, Jean, Mary, and Donna.

A Celebration of Life is being held for Charles on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.), where you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.
