Obituary

Carolyn J. Gorman, age 84, of Stanton, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alma.
Carolyn liked being outdoors and enjoyed all the beautiful things nature has to offer. She absolutely loved tending to her flower garden and watching her flowers blossom every year. Together she and her second husband, Bud, made countless bird house; he would build them, and she would paint them. Carolyn also loved spending time with her friends. She and Bud looked forward to meeting up with their friends each week at Big Boy for their weekly breakfast get togethers; they spent many winters in Florida where they also made lots of friends, and they liked trying their luck at the casino from time to time. For the past 18 months, Carolyn was able to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Rick Lopez and she really liked all the extra time she got to spend with her great grandkids.

Surviving Carolyn is her husband, Bud Gorman of Stanton, daughters, Debra Jones (Steve Barnes) of Lansing; Diane (Rick) Lopez of Breckenridge; Sandra Martens of St. Johns; son, Scott Merchant of Charlotte; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Arlene (Bill) Brenke of Perry and Dolores (Merrill) Butler of Iowa.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace & Claris (Anderson) Lorenson and her first husband, Bruce Merchant.
