Pre-Arrangements

Why Pre-Arrangements Make Sense

Everyone makes plans for the future. We plan out our next vacation, we plan for retirement, we plan a wedding, and we plan birthday parties.

We at the Simpson Family Funeral Homes realize that pre-planning a funeral isn't something that most people look forward to, but it is something that needs to be done and should be considered, for several reasons.

Peace of Mind

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is difficult enough by itself. But then, add to that the emotional strain of making funeral arrangements shortly after a death has occurred and all the decisions which go along with that process; picking our a casket, vault, flowers, clothes, thank you cards, deciding how many death certificates you will need, etcetera, and you can easily see how having all of these decisions made in advance will save your loved ones a lot of emotional stress and anxiety.

Everyone Will Know Your Wishes

At our funeral homes, there is no such thing as a "cookie cutter" or "one size fit all" type of funeral service. Each funeral we direct is as unique and different as the families we serve, just as it should be.

We believe funerals are very personal and should be conducted as such. By pre-planning, your family will know what your personal preferences are. Everything in the pre-arrangement process is written down and documented, so when the time comes, your family will not only know what you wanted, but also how you wanted it done.

Keeping the Cost Down

At the conclusion of making your pre-arrangement, we will be able to give you the total cost of everything. You do not have to pre-pay if you do not want to. Some people only want to give us information to keep on file, but others take it one step further and lock in today's price by pre-paying.

Pre-paying only makes good sense; you get to lock in today's prices even if you don't need it for another 20, 40 or 50 years. Pre-paying insures there are no unexpected expenses for your loved ones at the time the services are conducted.

Many people who have pre-arranged and pre-paid their funeral tell us they feel relieved knowing that everything is taken care.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of pre-arranging a funeral, have a question about pre-arrangements, please feel free to call us at either our Sheridan location (989) 291-3611 or our Stanton location (989) 831-4000 and we will be happy to assist you.
