Richard "Dick" Seaver
9/30/1943 - 6/18/2010
Richard L. Seaver, age 66, of rural Stanton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 18, 2010. He was born September 30, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Clyde & Marjorie (Richmond) Seaver.
On June 30, 1962, Dick was married to the former Janet P. Partlow in Saginaw, Michigan and she survives in addition to their children, Margie & Roger McKeown of Blue Ash, Ohio, Sherry & Steve Pelmear of Zephyr, Florida, Rusty Seaver of Stanton, a daughter-in-law, Patty Seaver of Sheridan, his grandchildren, Amber Krauss, Misty Krauss, Andrew Gray, Morgan Gray, Billy McKeown, Brent McKeown, Kieshia Slocum, Christopher Austin, Sosha Herren, Aaron Seaver, Justin Seaver, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Linda Kinsman and Sally Crawfis, both of Saginaw, Michigan, one brother, Carl Seaver of Wasilla, Alaska, in addition to a special friend, Esther Rohn of Stanton, a special buddy, Craig Wright of Stanton and his dog, named “Little Dog”.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and also a daughter, Kelly Jean Seaver.
Dick has been a longtime resident of the Stanton and Sheridan areas. He was a retired pipe insulator and a member of the Local 47 Heat & Frost Workers. He loved auto racing, especially watching his son Rusty race and also being able to help him at the different race tracks. His family meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him and according to his grandchildren, he was the world’s greatest grandpa.
A memorial service will be held at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, Michigan on Tuesday, June 22nd at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held one hour prior to the service.
In keeping with Dick’s wishes, cremation has already taken place and final interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan, Michigan.
